Dad was born and raised on his families’ ranch on Sandy Creek. At 16 years of age, he ran away from home, and went to work for Mrs. Matlock for a couple of years, then went to California and worked. He boxed for a while and had the Golden Gloves Trophy for California. (This is the first I’ve heard of this). He came back to Lemhi Valley and stayed, continued ranching.
Mother was born in Colorado. At 5 years (I think she was older than this, and they followed her grandfather, Nicholas Strawn to Idaho) they moved to Salmon, where she went to school and graduated from High School at Salmon. She went to business school at Links Business School in Boise.
On the 4th. of January, 1918, LeRoy Tompkins Moore and Claudia Winona Fields Bradley were married in Lemhi County, Idaho, and here we are!!!
